ERIK HANBERG

Erik Hanberg came to our World wide web class on October 11th. Professor Fry had brought him in to share his life story and how Hanberg had made a living off the ever so changing technology world. Not just on how to make money but Hanberg was a very helpful resource to new nonprofits, he wrote three separate books- The Little Book of Gold, The Little Book of Likes, and The Little Book of Boards- which were like a resource guide that provided helpful information to help the nonprofits. Having a background in their entertainment industry Hanberg was a very successful director for The Grand Cinema. His expertise and knowledge lead to The Grand Cinema generating huge amount of revenue for the Cinema. With all that knowledge Hanberg decided to pursue his wish and open his very own cinema, went on and opened a theater. Sadly, enough eventually hanberg had to close his theatre. Both Hanberg and his wife Created a business together, it’s basically a marketing company for small businesses and nonprofits. Mary, Hanberg’s wife is a very good artist and Hanberg being Hanberg uses his skills to reach out to new customers and get new businesses the voice. Eric Hanberg and Professor Fry are both very intelligent people and have used the ever so advancing technology to have fun and develop new companies. Professor Fry and Hanberg both were doing what they loved and crossed paths and could bounce ideas off each other. It was nice meeting Eric Hanberg.

Dot com to Dot bomb put things in to perspective from where technology started to where it is now. This statement can be used two ways to explain certain things such the size of how technology started and how technology was used when it first began. Computers were first made for use by huge companies two reasons for that were the costs of the computers were huge and only major companies were the ones that could afford, second reason being only companies had the need for the such technology the public didn’t need the computer. Even mass storage for computer was very space occupying, if we look at captain America when they are in the bunker the room was full of storage. Post Office Mail vs E-mail

Similarities between post office mail and email-          Both mail and email have a mailbox to receive mail.- Post mail has a box built outside of each home that receives mail. Email has an inbox that receives all incoming mail.          Mail and email both a centralized location where the mail is collected and then re-distributed to the receiver.          Both are used by advertisers to solicit people.- Advertisers send mass emails to people to get people to know about sales. Mail sends mass print letters to individual people.          Mail and email have some sort of way to sort out the mail- for example- no illegal substances can be sent via mail.
