It isn't just about being a Programmer- Shadrach White

Professor Andrew Fry brought in a guest speaker/ good friend Shadrach White. He was brought in to class to give us his experience on how he was able to find a way to make money off the ever so advancing web. Shadrach white has been successful and started various different companies such as Image source. When Washington had passed the recreational marijuana bill where it was basically legalized, Shadrach had been in the right place at the right time. When the legalization bill was passed local agencies needed to find a way for businesses to obtain the proper licensing from the agency and be able to renew it every year. Shadrach then started a basic website for the agencies thru Amazon Web Services and presented it to the agency. Now if we analyze this a website was created in the matter of minutes thru Amazon web services. No one had to write up all the code and manually create this, it was all done thru AWS. ShadRach started what he now calls Airlift. Airlift is a way for governmental agencies to receive, review and finalize forms, applications, and requests. Thru Airlift application is filled out then the application will be sent, or a notification will be sent to the correct person in the correct department who will thus review and finalize the application. Personally I think this a very smart idea, this can help various governmental agencies all the way from health departments, police departments, to college applications.
