Dot com to Dot bomb put things in to perspective from where technology started to where it is now. This statement can be used two ways to explain certain things such the size of how technology started and how technology was used when it first began. Computers were first made for use by huge companies two reasons for that were the costs of the computers were huge and only major companies were the ones that could afford, second reason being only companies had the need for the such technology the public didn’t need the computer. It isn't just about being a Programmer- Shadrach White

Professor Andrew Fry brought in a guest speaker/ good friend Shadrach White. He was brought in to class to give us his experience on how he was able to find a way to make money off the ever so advancing web. Shadrach white has been successful and started various different companies such as Image source. When Washington had passed the recreational marijuana bill where it was basically legalized, Shadrach had been in the right place at the right time. When the legalization bill was passed local agencies needed to find a way for businesses to obtain the proper licensing from the agency and be able to renew it every year. Shadrach then started a basic website for the agencies thru Amazon Web Services and presented it to the agency. Now if we analyze this a website was created in the matter of minutes thru Amazon web services. No one had to write up all the code and manually create this, it was all done thru AWS. Startup.com was an interesting documentary. This documentary was about three entrepreneurs who had an idea to innovate and make money off the advancing web. These entrepreneurs had known each other since a young age and had an idea to become rich off a dot come website. Now being older they decided to make a website to pursue that dream of becoming rich. One of the partners had left Goldman sachs to pursue his dream about creating a website, that’s the dedication to becoming rich. The website that the partners had come up with is govworks. This website was supposed to be launched to basically help the government collect payment for various things mostly parking tickets via the internet. This idea of theirs was to help municipal governments collect revenue from an online interface. There was a third partner which was a friend of one of the partners and it seemed he was not picking up his weight, so he had been bought out by the company leaving only two people responsible for the compa
